Explore life on campus

Hope Social brings together student engagement and social events, offering a diverse range of events and activities happening on and off campus each month.

When you arrive, you’ll get our comprehensive Freshers’ planner. Each month, our What’s On guide features details of events, all designed with you in mind.

With something happening most nights at each campus, there’s plenty to get involved in, from quiz nights, bingo, live bands and themed party nights.

As well as events on campus, the team organise visits to some of Britain’s best-loved attractions, with previous trips including Chester Zoo, the Lake District and Conwy Castle.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union is independent of the University and is run by students, for students.

The primary objective of the Students’ Union is to make positive change. This is achieved by representing your views and needs to the University, the National Union of Students and government.

The Union is also incredibly important for the social aspect of university life, facilitating sports clubs and societies, and organising Welcome Week activities, including the Freshers’ Fair.

Hope Works

Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy team represents the Christian ethos of the University, and supports staff and students of all faiths, and none.

The Chaplaincy base is a welcoming and vibrant space, where you can meet new people and feel at home. It is a social space, a quiet place for work, the place to grab a coffee, and most notably, home to the famous £1 lunch.

Space to relax

Our campus offers inviting spaces designed for calm and focus, with quiet study areas that provide comfortable seating and natural light for reading or reflection.

Beyond the study rooms, greenery, shaded pathways, and sheltered benches create peaceful spots to pause and recharge between classes.
